180 Amsterdam

Just as 180 strated, they continue to be successful with the Adidas Impossible Is Nothing campaign. This Ad also goes along with the recent trend of Ads putting a bunch of stuff together to make an Ad. This Ad shows Adidas customization for their cleats. It is a very cool Ad in that I feel that 180 portrays that Adidas customizes your skills as well as the cleat itself.

TBWA

This reminds me of the famous IPOD commercials that TBWA and Lee Clow designed. It has a similar background to the original Ipod spots. TBWA has always gave brands characters like the Energizer bunny, Taco Bell Chiwawa, and more. With Pedigree TBWA just had to use the actual consumer, not the buyer. The dogs themeselves are the symbol for the brand. The owners want to take care of the dogs on the commercial with the best food for them

Hill Holiday

dunkin-thumb.jpg

This Ad designed by Hill Holiday exemplifies what most Interpublic agencies are known for. This Ad makes you question the next time you want to fill your stomach by offering a quick snack that isnt terrible for you. Agencies in Interpublic like McCann Erickson, Martin, and more all seem to have an overwhelming advantage to their creative skills and how they communicate it.

Dieste

Dieste is known for its work for the Latin community. A lot of their work is very straight forward like this one in that it doesn't create a brand image for the product. Yes, Pinesol is a low involvement product, but it would maybe more effective to show why Pinesol is more effective at cleaning floors than the competitor. The Ad simply tells the viewer that it cleans, thats about it.

DDB

This is another classic VW Ad by DDB. It has the same sort of message that the other famous VW Ads had, "Think small". DDB advertises VW as the smart, affordable, and virtuous automobile. It tells the viewer that you will be rewarded if you own a VW in more ways than one. It reflect who you are as a person too.

Euro RSCG

The most interesting man in the world campaign is like a mix between the Morbolo Man and The BMW short films. Dos Equis created more than just a character like Tony The Tiger or Sammy the Tuna this even more realistic than the Marbolo man. This should go down as the best Beer campaign ever. This blows the Budweiser frogs out of the water (no Pun intended). I also love how he says "I dont always drink beer...." it makes Dos Equis seem like they know they are the best and they dont have to tell you.

ARNOLD

preview_600_774.jpg

The creative strategy is obvious behind this Arnold WW modern version of DDB's famous Ad. In the 60's "Think Small" was a big hit and changed the game for advertising. Most industry experts might disagree with the version based on Bill Bernbachs master piece, but I feel that it fits our generation. We do live in Texas too, where everything is bigger. Arnolds twist on this is perfect for our generation and for a company that has never really opened their doors for bigger automobiles. Even if younger people have not seen the "Think Small" original, this Ad introduces the new Taureg in a very effective way.

Leo Burnett

Leo Burnett has always been known for their epic characters like the Marbolo Man, Tony The Tiger, and of course Ronald McDonald. McDonalds should thank Leo Burnett for the 35 years they celebrate in the commercial. If it wasnt for Leo Burnett's creativity and the birth of Ronald McDonald, McDonalds might not be where it is today. Leo Burnett is one of my favorite agencies because of their back story and what they have done for brands like McDonalds and Morbolo.

Dentsu

Dentsu must be doing something right to control over 40% of Japan's Ad space. It is interesting to see the differences in the Advertising based on where it is from. Europe has their own style, India, and Japan too. This type of Ad doesnt do much for me, but Dentsu does a great job at identifying their taret market and basing their strategy off what resonates.

T.A.G. San Fransisco

2008JeepAdBoat.jpg

This is brilliant print Ad for Jeep that uses hardly any text. Just as we saw below Agencies in Interpublic like T.A.G. San Fran do great work that expands the image of the brand and product. Simple but effective, this Jeep ad captures the outdoor, adventurous traveler who wants more than a car, but a way of life. I am surprised that the Timberland Ad below wasnt also made by T.A.G.

Martin

One of the smartest things that Martin did for their client Geico is that they ran multiple campaigns at once. In class we talked about the Cavemen, Gecco, and The Money campaign but there is also a few others. I never realized that they were running all of these campaigns, but it is genius. Although it is very expensive, It can reach multiple target markets depending on their taste. One market might like the Cavemen and another might like The Gecco. Also, since it is an insurance company it is important for people to now that you are a large successful company since people are handing Geico their money.

Y+R

This Ford Ad was made to specifically market to the Middle east. Y+R did a great job in my opinion because it brings up things about a car that based on middle east stereotypes are right on. This Ad wouldnt be as effective in America because our market is far too materialistic. We always want the best and to look the best. The Middle east market is much more conservative. Cars advertised as Ferraris would not be effective in the Middle East.
